It is no unusual for me to get called out to fix cheap-o systems because “Dodgy Bros Solar” don’t warranty their work. When we work with suppliers, we always make sure their component warranty is up to snuff, as-well as providing lifetime warranty on workmanship.

A system to Suit your property and lifestyle

Everyone lives a different life, and has a different bill, selling a volume system kit really is a half baked solution. These volume systems often under-perform and have component warranty issues, leaving you stranded in 2 years time, when the manufacturer has gone broke and the installer doesn’t want to help you, it happens more than you think. But even then, you may be sold a standard MACRO Inverter, these inverters suffer greatly in properties with intermittent shade, when one panel is shaded the entire row falls over, generating no power at all, like an old torch, have one flat battery in series with 4 charged ones and the torch wont work.

What we could offer in place of a MACRO Inverter is what is called a MICRO Inverter, that is a small inverter under each panel, when only one panel is shaded, you only lose that panel, these systems are also much more safe as you wont have 500VoltsDC running through you roof. We can also offer Optimizers for existing MACRO Inverter systems, these are automatic bypass devices, that have the same endgame effect as MICRO Inverters.

We often pair Optimizers with battery systems, as most battery systems are only available as part of a macro inverter system.

Like traditional solar, it’s an investment, but one that’s got a better return then putting your money in the bank, the current payback period for a Solar only system is 3-5yrs, while Solar with batteries is 5-7yrs. But don’t let that discourage you into a Solar only system, you will get more features with a battery system such as; Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS), more intelligent power readings and graphs and late night self-consumption of power. Not to mention bragging rights when the powers out on Grand Final Day, and you’re the only one who got to watch the game
